After completing a BSc degree in Maritime Engineering (cum laude), Harm decided to follow a double MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (cum laude). During his thesis project, he performed multiple complex analyses on both experimental and simulation data. This is when he discovered his interest in finding patterns within data to solve problems.
Next to his studies, Harm worked as a high-school teacher and helped organising several events for his sport and study association – for example a three-week study trip to Brazil. Harm now uses these experiences to successfully complete the challenging projects carried out at BLOOM.
Apart from work, Harm is a fan of everything related to sports. After graduating, he made a cycling trip from the Netherlands, through Eastern Europe and ending 3000 km further in Greece.
