We are proud to announce the two latest additions to the BLOOM team: Paul Bakker and Marije Jochemsen. Paul joins BLOOM as a consultant and Marije supports our office as Project & Office assistant.
Graduated with a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering (cum laude), Paul learned to optimise algorithms for complex problems on high-performance computing platforms. His interest for the digital world sparked at an early age, as he has been taking apart and rebuilding computers since he was in primary school. Next to his study, Paul served in several committees of his student association, worked for an IT service provider and as a mathematics and physics tutor. Paul is excited to use his love for technology and data to solve all the challenges that BLOOM clients have got to offer.
Marije graduated from the University of Utrecht with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. While filling the position of chairman in the board of her study association, she developed organisational skills. Consequently, she fulfilled a function in the management team of her bachelor, organising several events and making general policy. During her Bachelor’s programme, Marije developed an interest in quantitative research as well. She has focused on multiple themes, such as social networks, game theory and social cohesion and is now looking to develop her analytical skills at BLOOM.
