Starting this month, Serte Donderwinkel has joined the BLOOM team as intern. Serte completed her BSc in Mathematics at the University of Groningen (cum laude). During her undergraduate studies, she did research on preferential attachment graphs, which are a good approximation of e.g. social networks. Currently, she is helping BLOOM’s clients with her analytical skills as an intern, before starting a MASt in Pure Mathematics at the University of Cambridge in October.
This is not the first time that Serte puts her theoretical focus to practical use. For example, she was a teaching assistant for almost 20 courses, worked as a student-consultant at the Young Advisory Group for two years, was a full-time board member of her study association and did research on the social and economic effects of urbanization in China. No matter how diverse her activities are, creating an impact with the people she works with is what gets her out of bed in the morning.
During her internship at BLOOM, Serte will use her analytical and mathematical skills in supporting on consulting projects.
